Tahai Lake
Tahai lake, Palangkaraya City,The Province of Central Kalimantan 


Tahai is the  name of the lake of Central Kalimantan Dayak languages like. Tahai is small lake that   formed it has been said  because of the long-standing water caused by sand quarryng. In addition Tahai is also formed due to the former watershed alurya be changed, this forming a puddle of water that do not follow the channel of the river again.

In Central Kalimantan alone Tahai-Tahai lot, and one that is often crowded with visitors is the Lake  Tahaia + / - 30 km from Palangkaraya Sampit direction not far such as a wooden plank bridge which divides the lake itself so we walked up to the middle of the lake and even across the lake. In addition there are here also have cabins, so we can chat with frinds while enjoying the scenery while unwind. There are also trains water and of course there is also a mosque and several houses for rent.

If you bored with the view of the water could come back to the breeding Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Foundation's BOS is not far from the location of this Tahai (+/-1km). Here we can see an orangutan  behavior in the stable. To see the orangutans should come on Sunday, as the place to see it only opened on Sunday and other holidays.

Besides we also see orangutans could try tracking into the forest which are still preserved are still in this breeding area.
To enter into the forest we do not fear the peat soil of flooded roads are provided because it was a wooden bridges around the area of forest. In the forest we could feel the air is coll and fresh and can also listen to the chirping of birds and if lucky to meet  with Uwak-Uwak, one of the only ape species found here are also protected.

And in the forest here can also be found plants or flowers that are rarely found.
